Help
Taxonomies are hierarchical trees used to organize and browse products in the storefront.
A Taxonomy (e.g. "Categories") contains a tree of Taxons (e.g. Apparel > Shirts). Products can be placed into one or more Taxons, which drives storefront navigation menus and filtering.
A "Categories" taxonomy might have taxons Apparel, Accessories, and Home. A product placed in the Apparel taxon shows up when a customer browses or filters by Apparel.
Taxonomies group products together for browsing. Option Types and Property Types instead describe a single product's own attributes or specs.
